Now is the time.
For what? For whatever. Whatever came to mind first.
It’s time. How do I know? Because if it hadn’t been on your mind, you wouldn’t have thought of it first. I’m sure you’re tired of carrying around that burden – whether it’s mental, physical, emotional, spiritual. It’s time to let it go or fix it or embrace it or do it – just deal with it head-on.
Be totally honest with yourself. It’s just you. No one’s reading your thoughts.
Write it down. Yes, that thing you first thought of… not the one you settled on because you thought it made more sense, or was easier. Write it down.
Now look at it. How does looking at it make you feel? Do you feel angry, hurt, bitter, guilty, ashamed? Or do you feel excited, hopeful, nervous but elated, alive? Take careful note, and yes, write it down. Now you need to decide to let it go/change it or accept it/embrace it.
What is ONE thing you can do TODAY to start making that positive difference?
Maybe you need to forgive yourself or someone else, or ask for forgiveness of someone.
It could be that you need to physically remove reminders of people or events or things that have held you back for far too long, or remove yourself from them.
Perhaps you need to accept that you can’t change the past, but you can stop living in it and freely pursue a new and awesome future armed with the lessons you’ve learnt.
It’s conceivable that now is the time to get the help you need to kick that habit that’s ruining your life, or to break free of that old fear that’s had a grip on your heart for what seems like forever and has controlled your life.
Probably you need to stop denying how passionate you are about doing that thing and embrace it.
Possibly your hobby should really be your life’s work.
